Dolinnov has been awarded a Grand Prize at i-Lab 2025, France's national competition for the creation of deeptech start-ups. The awards were presented on 14 October 2025 in Paris (La Seine Musicale, Boulogne-Billancourt). Out of 473 applications, 62 projects were selected as laureates, and 9 of them received a Grand Prize.

i-Lab is run by Bpifrance on behalf of the French government as part of the France 2030 investment plan. Each year it selects start-up projects built on a strong scientific foundation, across all fields of technology.

What Dolinnov does

Dolinnov develops non-opioid treatments for chronic pain. Its approach targets FXYD2, a regulator of the sodium-potassium pump found in the sensory neurons that carry pain signals. Instead of blocking an ion channel, as most non-opioid programmes do, Dolinnov modulates the pump that keeps these neurons in balance. The company calls this new class of drugs Precision Pump Modulators. Its lead candidate is an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) designed to reduce FXYD2 in pain-sensing neurons and provide long-lasting relief. It is at the preclinical stage.

The project rewarded by i-Lab, ASODOL, builds on more than ten years of research on FXYD2 at the Montpellier Institute of Neurosciences (INM, Inserm / University of Montpellier).

What the prize brings

The prize comes with €500,000 in non-dilutive funding from Bpifrance, together with support to set up and grow the company. For Dolinnov, it funds research and development work on its lead candidate.
