Dolinnov has been selected as a laureate of France 2030, the French government's investment plan for innovation in strategic sectors, including health. The support is provided through Bpifrance together with the Occitanie Region, where Dolinnov is based.

What the support will fund

The France 2030 programme backs a three-year project to move Dolinnov's lead candidate further through preclinical development. It will help the company:

  • accelerate its preclinical development programme;
  • explore a broader range of pain indications;
  • strengthen its CMC capabilities, the chemistry, manufacturing and controls work needed to produce a drug candidate at consistent quality.

The project is carried out with two public research partners: the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), on formulation, and Inserm, the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research.

What Dolinnov does

Dolinnov develops non-opioid treatments for chronic pain. Its approach targets FXYD2, a regulator of the sodium-potassium pump found in the sensory neurons that carry pain signals. Instead of blocking an ion channel, as most non-opioid programmes do, Dolinnov modulates the pump that controls how excitable these neurons are. The company calls this new class of drugs Precision Pump Modulators. Its lead candidate is an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) designed to reduce FXYD2 in pain-sensing neurons and provide long-lasting relief.

France 2030 follows the i-Lab Grand Prize awarded to Dolinnov in October 2025 (link to the i-Lab post), and adds to the public support behind the company's preclinical programme.

Dolinnov thanks Bpifrance, the Occitanie Region and all its partners for their trust and support.

About Dolinnov

Dolinnov is a preclinical-stage biotech company founded in October 2024 in Montpellier, France, by Grégoire Serra, Stéphanie Ventéo and Jean-Philippe Annereau. It develops Precision Pump Modulators, a new class of non-opioid treatments for chronic pain, starting with an antisense oligonucleotide targeting FXYD2 in pain-sensing neurons.
